The History of
CLAVERIA INTERNATIONAL BAPTIST CHURCH

In 1992, the Lasquero Clan gathered for a family reunion, which included the family of Ptr. Ferdinand L. Mandac. Ptr. Mandac intentionally stayed through Sunday, hoping to meet the pastor of his mother’s church. However, when the day came, the pastor was absent. The members requested Ptr. Mandac to preach in his place. The same situation occurred again the following Sunday. Upon learning that their pastor was frequently absent, Ptr. Mandac was moved to pursue a vision he had cherished since his third year in Bible School—to begin a ministry in Claveria.
After months of prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance, Ptr. Mandac resolved to return to Claveria. Before doing so, he entrusted the ministry at Maranatha Baptist Church in Montalban to Pastor Leoncio Amadore Jr.
On June 6, 1992, coinciding with the birthday of his mother, Mrs. Victoria Mandac, the first worship service was held in the garage of Lolo Santiago Lasquero’s home. Together with Ptr. Stanley Baluscang and the couple Pastor Danilo and Mrs. Filomena Aglosolos, the ministry was officially named Claveria International Baptist Church.
