Our Founder

TONY ROBINSON
Age: 58,
Birthday: January 18, 1968
Saved at 13 years old under my Dad’s preaching at Occupy II BC in Pitkin, La.
Graduated HS: 1986
1988: Graduated from Vocational School in Industrial Electronics and Computer Repair
1988: August 6, I married Johnnie Leigh Escalon. I was 20 years old and she was 18.
1992: We had our 1st of 4 children, the last in 2004. We were blessed with 2 girls and 2 boys. Our 2nd boy is in heaven waiting on us.
2014: We had our 1st of 6 grandchildren, the last in 2023. 4 boys and 2 girls.
1993: I entered the gospel ministry in May and was ordained in September after accepting a call to Pastor Calvary Heights BC in Jena, La. During this time I worked as an electrician and also enrolled in a local Bible College.
As of 2026: 33 years of Pastoring, Preaching, and mission leading.
2011-2012: Mission of Exchange was chartered and became a 501c3 non-profit mission organization in 2012.
My first Mission trip was to Honduras with the support of a church I Pastored, namely Pritchard BC in Jena. La. During those years God was planting in my heart the burden for the unreached and destitute in the world.
2004: I graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, La. with a degree in Pastoral Ministries.
2007: I began to sense a new direction in ministry, but couldn’t pinpoint it. I began to read books on missions and contact Mission agencies to explore this new direction. I thought maybe I would end up being a missionary somehow, somewhere, but God had something else in mind. He moved me from the state of Louisiana 950 miles north to the state of Kentucky. It was during that short tenure at a multi-staff church that Mission Exchange came to fruition.
2008: God put me in this rather large Church as Senior Pastor of Piner Baptist Church in Morning View, Kentucky. This was a very mission-minded church that I was providentially put in for purposes I didn’t realize until a few years later.
2009: While Pastoring Piner BC I first visited Asia, namely the Countries of India and Nepal under the leadership of Evangelist and Mission Leader Scotty McDowell, a long time friend who was not only instrumental in this mission trip, but also God’s in development of my mission burden.
After coming back from that Mission trip and reading a life changing book concerning world missions I began to have solidly formed in my mind and heart the groundwork for Mission of Exchange.
August 2011: I resigned Piner Baptist Church In Kentucky, sold my home and moved back home with $7,000 from the sale of the house as seed money to begin laying more fully the groundwork for MOE.
2012: God put me as Pastor of Cornerstone BC in Oakdale, La. This church embraced my vision for MOE and I continue to this day Pastoring this church and leading MOE with their help and support.
God began to open up effectual doors for MOE. The 1st door was the MOE Deli which was owned by my Dad and a few months later the MOE flea market in Elizabeth that was owned by the town. These buildings were offered with little to no over-head expense which allowed for the vast majority of the proceeds going directly to MOE mission work. Both of these nonprofit businesses exist to generate Mission revenue for MOE. No one receives any type of salary from MOE for their work and involvement including Tony Robinson, the founder and President of MOE nor Eric Pedro who is vital part of MOE. Everyone who works at the deli and flea market is strictly volunteer labor for the Lord. Their compensation is out of this world!
In addition to these two Mission businesses, we also have several churches and individuals who give periodically to the Mission work of MOE.
Pastor Eric and I are financially supported by Cornerstone where we Pastor which relieves the financial obligation of MOE, allowing the MOE proceeds to be used for foreign mission work.
2014: My Dad, the late Charles Robinson, who was Pastoring a nearby church (Gospel BC who is a long time MOE sponsoring church) introduced me to Pastor Eric Pedro who was visiting the USA for the 2nd time from his native country of the Philippines. Pastor Eric and I experienced an immediate bond as we enjoyed times of fellowship, ministry, and short home mission trips.

2015: I went to India the 2nd time on a Mission trip with Scotty McDowell and a team of 5 to conduct National Missionary Conferences and visit and minister to our ministry partners.
2017: I went with Missionary George Marshall and a team to Mexico to a Pastor’s Conference to meet and minister to some of our ministry partners.
2018: I took my 2nd mission trip to Mexico with Missionary George Marshall and a team to help with a VBS.
After working with Pastor Eric during his next trip to the USA and hearing each other’s hearts concerning ministry, the idea of him and his family moving to the USA as a Cornerstone Baptist Church and Mission Exchange partner began to develop and pursued.
2019-2024: Pastor Eric and I had long years of diligent labor with many ups and downs before the final breakthrough. The covid years created a major delay in the process, but in God’s timing after many trials, sacrifices, and setbacks Pastor Eric and his family received approval from the USCIS and received their USA Immigration card under the category of Religious Visa.
During these years we continued to minister at Cornerstone BC with annual home mission trips in various locations while waiting, working, and praying for our vision to come to pass. 2024: The Pedro family moved to USA, Louisiana in August and began their partnership with MOE and Cornerstone. In October/November Pastor Eric and I went on our 1st mission trip after they moved to the USA. We visited 5 states and 7 ministries/churches in 9 days while ministering, working, and speaking.
2024: The Pedro family moved to USA, Louisiana in August and began their partnership with MOE and Cornerstone.
2025: In August, Pastor Eric and I visited the Philippines where we met and ministered with and to our National Missionary Pastors and Church planters. During this time, we also met and forming new partnerships with additional National Missionaries. In addition, we solidified the establishment of a new ministry to specific students of different ages. This was my first Mission trip to the Philippines and our second Mission trip is planned for May 2026.
